英語日記 今日も休み

I took a day off for today so I have a three-day weekend. Since the pandemic started, I’ve been taking days off more often than before just because I’m not extremely motivated to go to work every day amid this unprecedented disaster. I’m grateful for the fact that I still have a job, but in-person sales don’t seem like a best way of marketing under these circumstances to me, and so I mostly stay at the office every day and that’s mostly allowed by the management. It’s good to have such a liberty to be able to choose to stay at the office. However, it’s boring to stay inside the office all the time.

I don’t have specific plans today except for going to a motorcycle repair shop. A couple weeks ago, I started teaching one of my sons English. For the starter, we have been coping with some basic grammars and pronunciation rules. Yesterday, we finished watching a DVD where all the IPA sounds were explained and demonstrated, and read some passage from a textbook out loud. If he continues to practice English pronunciation at the current pace and does so long enough like over half a year, I speculate that he would be better than me. I expect that to happen.
