empollonの英語とか学習帳

このブログは僕の英語学習の内容や進捗、特に翻訳練習を記録するために始めました。ついでに、面白い人たちとの新たな出会いがあったら、なお嬉しいです。This will be to keep a record of my English practice progress. If I can get to know new interesting people through any interactions here, that’s also nice

英語日記 久しぶりに焼肉屋に行った

Yesterday, my family and I went to a yakiniku restaurant. The last time we went out to eat was at the beginning of March, so it had been about four months since then. While refraining from going out to eat, I tried making yakiniku at home, but all the times it didn’t come off as I expected. Yesterday, too, I was thinking of some to-go options, but there wasn’t a lot of information of takeaway menu of yakiniku restaurants in my city, I decided to go directly to and eat at the restaurant.

As most of you probably would do, I worried about the risk of contracting the virus, so we went there quite early for dinner time before the place got crowded, and luckily there were only few groups of customers. Also, each table was separated from the others by partitions and all the restaurant staff wore face masks.

Every meat we ordered were very good. Everyone in my family were excited. Now, looking back then, I feel like I should have ordered more meat and my oldest son says so too.

After we were done and were about to leave, I saw that the waiting room in front of the cashier was full of customers! Some people wore masks and some didn’t... all were excitedly speaking to each other in the narrow waiting room. It seemed that there was no restriction whatsoever about how many people could enter the place at a time. I feel like the government should give some clear guidance as to infection prevention practice at the shops and restaurants, but I’m sure they won’t, which is so dumb and hypocritical.

Most probably, we won’t go out to eat again for some time, like, at least, several months to come. I used to like to go eat ramen with my family at some of my favorite shops. It was really fun and I miss that.

I think it would be easier to read if you can separate some long sentences. Other than that, you did a great job! It was engaging and fun to read.
