Did you know where the Tokyo Olympic triathlon swimming venue is going to be?
東京オリンピックのトライアスロンの水泳会場は知ってましたか。
I didn’t know.
自分は知らなかった。
It's Tokyo bay.
東京湾だ。
It’s well known that its water is very dirty.
東京湾の水はとても汚いことはよく知られている。
No Japanese person would not want to swim there.
日本人なら誰も東京湾で泳ぎたいと思わないだろう。
I imagine the water there is toxic.
あそこの水は有害だと想像する。
Ever since the venue was designated, it seems that the Tokyo government has been trying to lower the E.coli level in the water area around the venue.
会場が決まってから、東京都は会場周辺の水域の大腸菌レベルを下げるように努めてきたようだ。
However, once it rains, it inevitably seems to rise.
しかしながら、一旦雨が降ると、レベルが上がるのは避けられないらしい。
Now, a typhoon is forecasted to come around over the area in a couple of days.
現在、数日後に台風が会場付近にも来ると予測されている。
I wonder why they chose such a place instead of many cleaner places in neighboring prefectures in the first place.
そもそも、近隣県のきれいな場所でなく、こんなところをなぜ選んだのか不思議だ。
