I’m not very motivated to write anything these days, so I’m not often around on Hellotalk either.
この頃、何も書く気が起こらないので、ハロートークもあまり使っていない。
If I think of what I really want to write about, maybe something like future of humanity could be one topic that I gravitate to.
本当に自分が書きたいことは何かと考えると、たぶん人類の未来のようなことは惹かれるテーマの一つだろう。
The problem is that I’m not knowledgeable enough to write about such a big topic.
問題は、そんな大きなテーマについて書くほどの知識が自分にはないことだ。
When it comes to future of humanity, I have difficulties coming up with any bright one for some reason.
人類の未来ということになると、明るい未来を思い描くのが何故か難しい。
Rather, it feels like future is gloomy and full of threatening natural events and social phenomena facing us as imminent dangers, such as climate change, pandemics of unknown viral diseases, atomic bombs.
むしろ、未来は陰鬱で、気候変動、未知のウイルス疾患のパンデミック、原子力爆弾など、脅威的な自然現象や社会現象が差し迫った危機として我々に迫っているように思う。
Probably my head is full of images from dystopian stories that I’ve read thus far.
たぶん、自分の頭はこれまで読んできたディストピア的物語でいっぱいだ。
On the longer scope of time, the universe has been expanding from its birth and far in the future, the course of expansion will reverse and ultimately the universe will pass into nothingness.
もっと長い時間の範囲で考えると、宇宙は誕生以来、拡張していて、遠い未来には、この流れが逆転し、最終的に宇宙は無となる。
So, what really matters?
そうなると、何が本当に大切なんだろう。
