英語日記 いよいよオリンピックが近い

The Olympic Games seems to happen despite overwhelming cries of objections.

圧倒的な反対の声にも関わらず、オリンピックは開催されそうだ。

It’s outrageous that the government is pressing so hard on the sport event amid the unprecedented pandemic.

前代未聞のパンデミックの真っ只中で、政府がこれほどまでにオリンピックを強行しようとするなんてとんでもない。

All I can do is to not support it, not watch any of it on TV and say no any time I can.
自分ができることは、オリンピックを支持しない、テレビで見ない、可能な時はいつも反対を表明することだ。

What is frustrating the most is that Japanese citizens have to pay for the condoms given to athletes for free— the cost should be paid from our tax.

It’s mind boggling that the government looks like they want to encourage horny young people to have a good time and further spread the virus, which might impose a greater risk on their own people.

信じられないことだが、政府は、興奮した若者たちが楽しい時間を過ごし、さらにウイルスを拡めることを奨励したいように見える。自国民にはさらなるリスクが負わされることになるかもしれない。
