I realized that it’s been about a year since I created my blog page.

自分のブログページを作ってから1年が経ったことに気がついた。

The reason why I started it is because at first, I wanted to seek some way to monetize my English skills and thought that creating my own blog that presents the content for English learners could be of use for that purpose with affiliate advertising.

ブログを始めた理由は、最初は自分の英語スキルを使って何かお金を稼ぐ方法を探したくて、自分自身のブログで英語学習者向けコンテンツを紹介すれば、アフィリエイト広告で稼げるんじゃないかと思ったからだ。

Also, I wanted to practice English-Japanese translation at the same time, so I started to mainly post my translations on my blog.

あと同時に、英語と日本語の翻訳の練習をしたかったので、自分のブログに主に自分の翻訳を掲載することにした。

At this point, I’m not as motivated to translate as back then and stopped practicing it earlier this year.

現時点で、以前ほど翻訳のやる気が起こらず、今年の始めに練習をやめた。

As for affiliate ad, I haven’t done anything in particular after my google Adsense application was rejected last year.

アフィリエイトについては、去年グーグルアドセンスで不合格になった後は特に何もしていない。

Probably, they decided that the blog content I had been posting were not as useful for readers and thus wouldn’t attract as many viewers as to satisfy their criterion.

おそらく自分が投稿してきたこのブログのコンテンツはそれほど読者に益はなくて、基準を満たすほどの読者を集めないと判断されたと思う。

My entries lately are only my English journals, the same ones I post on HelloTalk.

最近の自分のエントリーは、ハロートークにも同時に投稿した英語日記だけだ。

It’s fair to say that it has already lost any other purposes than to make it last.

続けるという以外にもう目的はないと言っても過言ではない。

But it’s still surprising to myself that I’ve continued it over one year.

それでも、1年以上続けてきたのは自分にとっても驚きだ。
