empollonの英語とか学習帳

このブログは僕の英語学習の内容や進捗、特に翻訳練習を記録するために始めました。ついでに、面白い人たちとの新たな出会いがあったら、なお嬉しいです。This will be to keep a record of my English practice progress. If I can get to know new interesting people through any interactions here, that’s also nice

英語日記 喉がよくなってきたみたい

It seems that my throat is getting better gradually. On top of the clogging feeling in my throat that I had had since March, I suppose that the new English pronunciation practice that I started several weeks ago and put on hold last week aggravated the condition.

I had soar throat because of English practice in other times too. When I try to speak like a native English speaker, it seems that extra strain is put on my throat. This might be common among Japanese English learners. In fact, I’ve seen some people make the same statement somewhere on the internet.

Some Japanese people look like they naturally speak English like a native speaker. Some people are naturally good at it, and others are not. Probably, the way they usually breath when speaking Japanese will decide how they sound in English too. There is something called abdominal breathing. If you do it when you speak, that might be close to the way a native English speaker speaks.

I’m still thinking of starting the pronunciation practice again, but I’m not sure when I should do. Or I’m not suited for English pronunciation. Or I might be just overthinking.
